Taifun Box Pro DLC & Taifun GX DLC "Black Special Edition" Package

This special release combo packaged version of the >> Taifun GX DLC Edition RDTA << along with a unique full black version of the Taifun Box Pro with hardened diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated stainless steel button and top/bottom plates.

What is DLC?

DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, a unique coating process that displays some properties similar to diamond, such as the hardness and medically inert, while bonding extremely well to materials like stainless steel. DLC coating is the same processed to black stainless steel luxury watches, and provides a high durability that does not scratch, chip, nor wear off like other coatings would, on stainless steel. Applied in a process somewhat similar to PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), DLC is an even more resistant (but more expensive) finishing process. These are the only two methods known to reliably, and durably blacken stainless steel.

Taifun Box Pro DLC Edition

The new Taifun Box Pro from SmokerStore is a revised version of the popular Taifun Box. The main changes are to the external design and shape, now eliminating the 3 separate plates for an ergonomic body design. The surface of the body was elaborately processed to create a particularly silky hand feeling and a special appearance. A protective glass for the display is now integrated in to the body as well, to prevent damage to the screen laying underneath. All edges are now rounded out, and the top and bottom plates of the box are adapted to the new ergonomic body design. The combination of weight, treated surface, and revised shape gives the Taifun Box Pro an unmistakable feel. You just have to pick one up to truly understand what it is about.

This special Black DLC Edition features a full stainless steel construction, further hardened for durability and to give it a darkened appearance via DLC coating to the media blasted body, fire button, up/down adjustment buttons, top plate, bottom plate, and battery cap are all coated in black DLC for this special edition release of the Taifun Box Pro.

NOTE: The >> dicodes CS1 Battery Charging Station Base << does NOT function with this DLC Edition of the Taifun Box Pro, as the DLC coating is resistive and will prevent a proper electrical connection with the charger's electrical contacts.

The Taifun Box Pro is an electronically controlled and power regulated battery advanced personal vaporizer device, ideal for any type of atomizer from rebuildables to pre-made coil tanks, and can fit atomizers up to 25mm in diameter. It is powered by a single >>18650 Lithium Battery Cell<<, with a maximum output order of 80 Watts. The dicodes FL80 chip set in the Taifun Box Pro also has internal battery resistance monitoring to warn of battery overload. The 0.91" OLED display on the side shows the most important parameters during and after vaping, and the settings in the menu can be adjusted using the 3 available buttons for navigation. Many resources were spent by SmokerStore to develop a fully customized user interface in co-operation with dicodes to develop a much more user friendly user interface that is as easy as any other chip set on the market, if not easier. 

The Taifun Box Pro has five different operating modes:

• Power (VW - variable wattage)
• Power Boost
• Temperature Control (TC)
• Pulse
• Bypass (power regulation switched off, and direct battery voltage applied to atomizer)

Changing settings is as easy as pressing up/down to change power settings, or a combination of up/down along with the fire button to enter the menu for more in-depth customizations, thanks to the revised firmware for the user interface making this the most user intuitive interface on any dicodes device.

Taifun GX DLC Edition RDTA

The Taifun GX is a rebuildable top deck atomizer featuring a flavour-focused interchangeable air flow system, easy-build coil winding deck, and includes SS liquid feeder cables to quickly deliver liquid to the deck down to every last drop in your tank! Can also wick with cotton (only recommended for 2mL version) or SS mesh rolls.

This Taifun GX DLC Edition is a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated version of the >> Taifun GX RDTA <<, is sold as an extended 5.6mL variant with the tank extension already installed, but can also be operated in the 4mL variant. It comes with the 2mL extension tank kit and 29mm extended SS cables already installed. A number of of extra items are included in this set, such as:

• Taifun Black Nugget 510 drip tip
• An exclusive black DLC coated version of the Taifun GX Pitcher Top Cap
• An exclusive black DLC coated version of the Taifun GX 2mL Tank Extension Kit

The Taifun GX is the first top deck atomizer within the genealogy of the Taifun GTIV, Taifun GTR, and Taifun BTD, and further refined for variable usage scenarios to give options for customers with regard to individualization and adaptation to their own requirements.

Easy Access Build Deck

The Taifun GX features a modular structure that allows the build deck to be removed from the lower tank and airflow section to allow easy user access to the wicks and the changeable air disks.

Interchangeable Air Disks

The Taifun GX is designed so that customers do not need to adjust to an atomizer. Rather, the atomizer can be adjusted to fit the user. The basic principle is that the Taifun GX cannot be narrowly defined or categorized as a "MTL", "RDL", or "DL" type of vaping experience. Rather, an interchangeable Air Flow Disk system allows users to modify the airflow as required, making the Taifun GX a truly versatile atomizer to fit a wide range of vapers. The only thing that the Taifun GX can NOT do, is high wattage, high airflow vaping, nor does it want to be.

The Air Disks allow for a wide range of possibilities and are easily changed. The basic version of the Taifun GX includes two Air Disks, each with three 1.8mm air holes for a total of six 1.8mm air flow holes. This makes the Taifun GX slightly more restrictive than the Taifun GT IV. However, the Taifun GX can also be operated without any Air Disks for maximum air flow, and will deliver a little bit more air flow than the Taifun GT IV with the Open Draw Positive Pole.

Air flow of the Taifun GX is primarily adjusted with the internal Air Disks. External air flow can be adjusted via the MF ring, closing down as far as 1/4 of the air intake slot.

Air Disk options are as follows:

• Closed (Solid block, to close air on one side)
• 1x1.0mm
• 1x1.2mm
• 1x1.5mm
• 3x1.2mm
• 3x1.5mm
• 3x1.8mm (Original Air Disk as included with the Taifun GX)

Users may use different Air Disks in different combinations for different airflow performance effects.

Secure Top Cap Design

Featuring the bayonet lock as previously introduced with the top fill cap of the Taifun GTR, this design prevents accidental removal of the top cap.

Concave inner cap design also allows for smoother airflow and better flavour production.

Multi-Function (MF) Ring

A multi-function (MF) ring is integrated in to the Taifun GX, allowing users to adjust the atomizer for various usage modes, and snaps into place with a satisfying click so the user has security in the mode it is set to. The modes available are:

DL Vaping Position

Air flow is fully open, and tank reservoir is fully open for ventilation. Ideal for DL vaping and higher VG e-liquids where fast liquid transport is required.

 Transport Lock

Air flow is closed, and liquid flow is sealed. The tank is effectively sealed when in this mode, and is ideal for transporting the atomizer to prevent any liquid leakage.

Filling Position

In this position, the Taifun GX can be easily and quickly filled from the outside, without the need to remove the top cap. An alternative base with a larger fill hole will be available for separate purchase, and is ideal for maximum VG users.

MTL Vaping Position

In this mode, the air flow is open, but the ventilation to the e-liquid reservoir is closed. Liquid now exclusively travels along the SS feeder cables via capillary action, and reservoir air resupply is choked. This prevents over saturation of the cotton wick when using higher PG liquids, as negative pressure vacuum is higher in the chamber when vaping with more restricted air flow.

Taifun GX DLC Edition Specifications:

Special Notes on the Taifun GX DLC Edition:

All exterior visible surfaces of the atomizer are fully coated. Due to production reasons, there is the possibility that some interior surfaces (especially with the MF ring and tank extension) are not completely coated or sometimes not coated at all. There may also be the appearance of a rainbow effect on these surfaces. These deviations can also be different for identical components, but do not represent any impairment.

Positive pole, air disks, and positive pole screw are left uncoated.

The threads of the 510 connection and the wire connection points are explicitly protected during the coating process to maintain maximum electrical conductivity.
