SnailTank v2 by Atmizoo
The SnailTank v2 by Atmizoo is the successor of the groundbreaking >> Atmizoo SnailTank v1 <<. It incorporates all of the advantages of the v1, plus more.
Made of PCTG plastic, available in clear and four unique colour versions.
Like its predecessor, the SnailTank v2 consists of two main parts: a tank section, and an adapter base, plus custom silicon gaskets. The tank section, adapter base, and all of the silicon gaskets (with the exception of the new two-sided refill cover) are cross-compatible with both the v1 components plus the >> Atmizoo VapeSnail << parts. This offers a lot of potential to the owners of the SnailTank v1 and the VapeSnail, either for maintenance, or as upgrade/accessory options.
The SnailTank v2's most notable new feature, is its ability to be refilled through two different holes, either from the usual front hole, or through an alternative but identically-sized hole on the side of the tank. This allows users the ability to also fill the tank without removing it, when inserted into side-loaded Boro mods. The carefully designed refill cover can be easily removed from either hole you choose to use for topping up your liquid, while the part that covers the other hole serves as a stable anchoring point.
As with the SnailTank v1, the separated tank to base connection design allows users the ability to access to the RBA deck at all times, even when almost full with liquid, particularly if the RBA uses a design that does not secure the chimney/chamber to the deck, such as the >> Atmizoo SteamShell <<. This "real-time access" design works best when the collaboration between the evaporation chamber/chimney and the deck are not threaded together, or do not have an extra tight gasket interaction between the two parts, thus, allowing the two parts to easily separate.
In addition, like the SnailTank v1, the tank section of the SnailTank v2 features a Chimney Gasket, which is added on the top side of the tank section to ensure a perfect seal with the chimney of your bridge/RBA, regardless of how far out of tolerance it is, while also allowing for better air seals against your 510 nut or hybrid drip tip, to minimize condensation build up behind the tank, even with o-rings removed from the base of your 510 nut or hybrid drip tip.
By replacing the o-ring from your nut or hybrid drip tip and relying on the SnailTank's chimney gasket, the following issues can be eliminated:
- The annoyance when the chimney of the bridge is automatically lifted up while unscrewing the 510 nut / hybrid drip tip, causing liquid to dump out.
- The poor seal caused by either worn/torn nut/driptip o-rings, or due to bad choice of o-rings (or no presence of o-rings at all) by the manufacturer of said nut/driptip.
It is advised to remove the o-ring from your hybrid drip tip or 510 nut to enjoy the best features of the SnailTank.
Due to the design, the SnailTank v2 is compatible with most bridges, RBA's, and condensation plugs that are designed for the Boro Tank (for example, the >> Velvet Vape Boropad << works perfectly), while also fitting inside the overwhelming majority of Boro-compatible AIO devices on the market.
Please note that due to the pyramid-like shape of the SnailTank v2 resulted from the unavoidable draft angle of the moulding process, the inside of the tank has a little bit less space compared to the standard and original Billet Box Boro Tank. Because of this, some very large RBA's (such as the >> Hellfire Exocet V2 <<, Haku Xeta, SVT Crossbow, etc) may be expected to only be able to fit inside the SnailTank v2 with almost zero tolerance gap. While this will not affect functionality, it may result in slight marring/scratching on the inner walls of the tank after multiple insertions/removals of such large RBAs. The minimum width of the tank section's inner walls is 13.70mm, so any RBA with a width equal or smaller than 13.70mm will fit just fine.
The SnailTank v2 is made of a special medical grade co-polymer plastic called PCTG. It is the same plastic that is used for industry standardized and certified baby bottles and medical appliances. FDA approved, safe, and BPA-free, PCTG is also far more resistant to chemical attack from aggressive phenolic compounds in some flavourings, in comparison to Ultem, polycarbonate, PCTE, Plexiglas, acrylic, PSU, and many other plastics.
Each SnailTank v2 comes with two sets of silicon gaskets / o-rings: One black set, preinstalled on all devices, and a clear set, which comes as a spare.
