What is DLC Coating?

DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon. This method of coating is similar to PVD (Particle Vapour Deposition), but increases the molecular structure of the metal at its surface, making it as hard as diamond, creating a darkened, yet extremely hard-wearing and scratch-resistant surface. This process of coating is typically used on luxury watches, firearms, and other stainless steel components that require a dark colour, and high wear resistance.
