Taifun GTR RTA, DLC Edition
Retro Meets Progress
With the Taifun GTR, Smokerstore relies once again on proven concepts and combine them with new technologies to meet the needs of the users. The Taifun GTR has a top fill system, liquid flow control as well as a variable air flow control despite its low height.

This DLC Edition of the Taifun GTR features a rich black coating that is hard-wearing and extremely durable, while maintaining its rich and lustrous look. Further, the Taifun GTR DLC Edition is delivered with a Black DLC version of the ComboTank, giving a classic Taifun GT look, while also providing a Borosilicate glass tank. Optional ComboTank PSU Tank Section also available for purchase.
DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, a unique coating process that displays some properties similar to diamond, such as the hardness and medically inert, while bonding extremely well to materials like stainless steel. This means a high durability that does not scratch, chip, nor wear off like other coatings would, on stainless steel. Applied in a process somewhat similar to PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), DLC is an even more resistant (but more expensive) finishing process. These are the only two methods known to reliably, and durably blacken stainless steel.
Special Notes on the Taifun GTR DLC Edition:
All exterior visible surfaces of the atomizer are fully coated. Due to production reasons, there is the possibility that some interior surfaces (especially with the ComboTank Steel Section and airflow control rings) are not completely coated or sometimes not coated at all. There may also be the appearance of a rainbow effect on these surfaces. These deviations can also be different for identical components, but do not represent any impairment.
The threads of the 510 connection and the wire connection points are explicitly protected during the coating process to maintain maximum electrical conductivity.
Behind the inconspicuous look of the Taifun GTR, hides some unusual solutions to known functions.
For the first time, the Top Cap does not use a thread for a Taifun atomizer. The new quick release is extremely robust and user friendly. With only a minimal 45 degree turn, the tank can be opened and closed without missing even the slightest quality impression.
Future-Proof Materials
With regard to the DIN CENTS 17287, success has been found in the search for an alternative to the popular transparent plastic and glass tank sections.
For the first time in the Taifun lineage, the Taifun GTR will be delivered with a plastic tank made of polysulfone (PSU). PSU is a material that is a transparent plastic that belongs to the high-temperature resistant and high-performance family of thermoplastics. Withstanding a temperature range of -100°C to 190°C, the tank is hard, durable, and has an ignition temperature (by flame) of almost 500°C. In addition, it has an extremely high chemical resistance (higher than Ultem 1000) and has survived all previous tests with well known "tank cracker" liquids without any damage or stress cracks.
DISCLAIMER: PSU has not yet been fully tested with every single flavouring compound on the market. Some flavourings with extremely aggressive ketones have already been reported to have cracked PSU. To be absolutely safe, it is best to avoid exposure to aggressive liquids such as (but are not all inclusive of this list) cinnamon, banana, menthol, anise, licorice, and citrus based liquids. There is no guarantee that PSU can resist cracking against such liquids without more extensive user testing, and Vapes by Enushi may not be able to provide any type of warranty against damage from these types of liquids.
Innovative Air Flow Control
The Taifun GTR has two separate air channels. In the basic version, the cross sections of the channels are 1.0mm and 1.2mm in diameter. By means of the ball bearing detent supported AFC ring, either both channels can be opened completely or half each individually, or together completely or half respectively.
The AFC ring of the Taifun GTR has a stop in both directions. However, the intelligent arrangement of the air holes does not result in a setting from small to large. Rather, the adjustment is kept as short as possible and the outer opening is always exposed with one click to the right or left (depending on the selected air hole), halved, or closed. To save height, the knurled AFC ring also serves to assemble/disassemble the atomizer. The possibilities of the AFC allows for a larger air flow bandwidth in the restrictive vaping range without much effort. Both lovers of a classic restricted MTL experience and users of a very restrictive DL vape can tune the air supply to their personal needs without having to suffer compression losses under the coil.
Next Generation Variable Liquid Flow Control
The Taifun GTR is designed for versatile use in the restrictive vaping range. This is reflected in the new arrangement of liquid flow control.
While one user may use lower viscosity liquids with less power and high vacuum, another may use thicker and more viscous liquids with more power and more air. To meet these requirements, a liquid control needs to be able to adapt to the individual needs of the users to a certain extent. Just turning it up is not enough for a satisfying vape experience in the area of MTL and restrictive DL.
The left side liquid channel is optimized for 50/50 liquids with restrained performance and greater negative pressure in the chamber. Due to the narrower and higher rise channel, the chamber is not flooded in the aforementioned conditions.
The right channel, with its wider milling and lower riser height is suitable for 70+VG liquids with increased travel performance. With longer draw duration, both channels can also be opened for greater liquid flow. The liquid control is set by a simple and easy rotation of the deck. 4 recesses for the two-sided access allows a very short rotation in the circumference, no matter where the approach of the thread begins.
Keeping It Simple
The coil deck of the Taifun GTR is the logical progression of the "Taifun Deck" launched with the GT IV. The posts are similar to those of the Taifun BTD with improved wire slots for easier wire installation.
The two-sided ventilation introduced with the Taifun GT IV has also been adapted to the requirements of a pure-bred restrictive atomizer. Both air ducts emerge slightly diagonally underneath the winding and allow a variable setting of the coil to the respective needs of the user in terms of taste and throat hit.
In principle, the Taifun GTR is also a "keep it simple" design. The deck does not require any great coil winding skills or cotton laying techniques for an optimal vaping experience. Simply install the coil, pull through the cotton wick and enjoy your vape. Simple as that.

NOTE: It is highly recommend that you fully clean out this product before the first time you use it. While the factory does a decent job at removing dust, shavings, machining lubricants and greases, there is still the potential for trace elements to remain, and it is best recommended that you do an additional cleaning to meet your standard of cleanliness.
DISCLAIMER: Rebuildable atomizers are for experienced vapers with access to meters and a working knowledge of Ohms Law, Watts Law, battery safety, and how general electricity works. Please ensure care is taken as to not cause damage nor harm to the atomizer, your battery, the vaping device, yourself, others, or personal property.
