Deep Black DLC Dani Box Micro by dicodes

The Dani Box Micro 80Watt (18650) temperature control mod is now the smallest mod made by dicodes, and in this DLC variant, is coated in an ultra hard-wearing and durable deep black DLC finish. DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating imparts an extremely wear resistant property to stainless steel that is typically used in high-end luxury watches, and changes the molecular structure of the surface to make the stainless steel even harder and more durable than when uncoated. Combined with a new media-blasting process, the final result of this "Deep Black" DLC version of the Dani Box Micro is an extremely rich and classy looking device.

Featuring a built-in USB-C charge port - the first time a dicodes mod is designed with the built-in charging port for easier recharging without the >> CS1 Charging Station <<. Do note, that while Dani Micro adapter inlays are available to charge the Dani Micro in the dicodes CS1 Charging Station, the DLC variants of any dicodes mod can NOT be used in the CS1 Charging Station, as the black DLC coating on the bottom grounding plate creates an electrically resistive layer that prevents a proper connection with the charger to function.

Ergonomically designed, this compact and svelte mod fits perfectly in your hand. Multiple wire material types can be used for temperature control and programmed on-the-fly directly on the device without the need to connect to a computer. The menu offers four different operating modes, allowing the user to switch between variable wattage, variable wattage with heat protection (10 options), variable wattage with power boost (10 options), bypass mode (power limited by output current <20A), or the (very) accurate variable temperature mode (when using a temp-control wire type.)

The body is made from anodized aluminum, with a brushed stainless steel top & bottom cap. It features a top mounted OLED display and a three button operation to easily scroll through the menu with one hand for selecting the desired program. For a mod packed with so many features, it is an easy menu to navigate.

The Dani Box Micro is precision machined in Germany and backed by a two year warranty on the electronics*.

Charging

The Dani Box Micro has a built-in USB-C charger port, and can NOT be used with the >> dicodes CS1 Charging Station <<, due to the black DLC coating on the bottom grounding plate. This DLC Coating is electrically resistive, and will prevent a proper circuit connection with the CS1 Charging Station base.

*Warranty Terms
Two year warranty covers manufacturing faults within the electronic component of the device only. Opening the device, other than the battery cap to change the battery, will void the warranty.

Please Note:  In order for the temperature control settings to function, a coil made from NiFe30, Titanium, Ni200, Tungsten, adjustable ("other“) wire must be used, no exceptions. Coils made with Standard Nichrome or Kanthal A1 wire will only support wattage mode, so the temperature control feature cannot be utilized.
