Machina Prima RDTA by VaporExMachina x Taifun
VaporExMachina Machina Prima - A versatile rebuildable mesh load vaporizer for the highest demands on taste and draw. Made in Germany by Taifun® / SmokerStore, in collaboration with VaporExMachina
The Machina Prima is not only the first atomizer design from VaporExMachina in the German high-end vaping market, but is also the debut of a close collaboration with Taifun® / SmokerStore. The Machina Prima was developed and manufactured by SmokerStore according to VaporExMachina' s specifications. Unofficially, the Machina Prima can be classified as the legitimate successor to the legendary >> Taifun BT << in the line-up of German premium self-winding vaporizers.
With the new Machina Prima, VaporExMachina from Trier is starting a new chapter in its successful company history. This long-established company is taking an important step into the future and combining it in a sophisticated way with the historic city of Trier. With much effort, the Porta Nigra is immortalized and paid tribute to on the tank shield of the Machina Prima. The rest of the design also relies on tried and tested elements, creating an exciting mix of classic retro look and thematic reference to the home town, without missing out on functional and mesh beginner-friendly handling.
Do note, that while this is called a "mesh" atomizer, it is NOT like a classic Genisis style atomizer. In traditional Genisis atomizers, mesh is used as the liquid transport wicking medium to the coil, where the coil is a standard wound piece of wire. However, in the Machina Prima, as was first introduced by the Taifun BT (and which other brands had copied afterwards), the mesh sheet is used in place of the coil as the heating element. The result is the entire strip of stainless steel now becomes one large heating surface, and cotton is used to carry liquid from the deck to the mesh coil. Stainless steel cables are used to transport liquid from the bottom of the tank up to the deck surface. For those that prefer winding coils, the build deck is designed in a way that still allows users to install classic wound coils if desired.
The Machina Prima's requirement for maximum power efficiency for a low consumption mesh vaporizer is absolutely contemporary, as similar mesh atomizers in the past had huge power requirements to yield optimal vaping results - typically around 80 Watts or higher. The simple but effective clamping mechanism ensures that the heating element loses as little energy as possible. Spring-loaded components have been commpletely dispensed with in the interests of power efficiency. A battery carrier / mod with just one cell is absolutely sufficient to fully exploit the power spectrum of the Machina Prima without losing even a hint of flavour and performance, nor requiring extensive experience with mesh vaporizers.
Fans of particularly low power can also adjust the air flow to achieve an ideal ratio of air to power. However, do note that there is a limit to how far airflow can be restricted with the Machina Prima. While it is possible to close down the top cap to limit the airflow to MTL levels of airflow restriction, the velocity dynamics of this particular design do not work well for MTL applications. The Machina Prima is clearly designed for DL vapers with slightly restrictive draw preferences. As delivered, the Machina Prima has four air flow holes, each 2.0mm in diameter and integrated into the top cap. Airflow adjustment is made to the top cap. Two additional >> Machina Prima Top Caps << are available for optional purchase to change the air flow dynamics slightly. There is a slightly more restricted top cap with four 1.8mm air holes, and for more intensive open draw airflow, there also exists a top cap with two 2.0x4.5mm air flow slots.
Laying the cotton wick is particularly easy in the Machina Prima. Despite being optimized for low power ranges, the Machina Prima has four stainless steel braided cable wicks to make it easier for mesh beginners to get started, and to avoid complicated cotton wick laying techniques. It is the same liquid transport design as introduced with the >> Taifun® GX RDTA <<. These stainless steel cables are used to transport liquid from the bottom of the tank up to the deck's floor. From the deck's floor, the ends of your cotton wick will touch the tops of those cables, and further transport the liquid from the deck floor up to the coils. But utilizing mixed wicking material in this manner, changing wicks to fresh ones is far easier, plus there is less opportunity for the cotton wick to taint the flavour of your e-liquid due to the shorter transport length.
While users may install any diameter coil they wish, an optional purchase >> Machina Prima INSTALLATION AID << also exists, which is a stainless steel rod in the ideal size that can be used to perfectly shape the mesh heating load for easier building.
The tank of the Machina Prima uses the Easy Side Fill method with tank ventilation lock, as firsts introduced in the >> Taifun® GX RDTA <<. This means that the tank's ventilation can be closed for transport. The top cap does not have to be removed to fill it; by simply turning the lower ring allows both filling and closing the tank for safe transport.

Special Notes
The Machina Prima has been specially developed for the use of mesh as the heating element. The use of conventional wound wire coils is possible without any further modifications, but is not explicitly intended. Please note, especially when using thicker wires or custom coils under the clamping plates, that these could be bent if too much force is applied when tightening the screws, due to the larger clamp surface area pressing down on a focused pressure point (the leg of the wire).

NOTE: Taifun atomizers arrive with all o-rings and seals pre-lubricated with 100% unflavoured Vegetable Glycerin from the factory to prevent seizure and tearing during assembly, storage, and disassembly. The presence of this liquid in your tank does NOT mean it has been used! Trust that this is coming to you brand new and unused when purchased from Vapes by Enushi.
NOTE: It is highly recommend that you fully clean out this product before the first time you use it. While the factory does a decent job at removing dust, shavings, machining lubricants and greases, there is still the potential for trace elements to remain, and it is best recommended that you do an additional cleaning to meet your standard of cleanliness.
DISCLAIMER: Rebuildable atomizers are for experienced vapers with access to meters and a working knowledge of Ohms Law, Watts Law, battery safety, and how general electricity works. Please ensure care is taken as to not cause damage nor harm to the atomizer, your battery, the vaping device, yourself, others, or personal property.
Vapes by Enushi is not responsible for misuse of product, or dangerously low coil builds. Vapes by Enushi is not liable for the use of improper batteries for your builds.
