Deep Black DLC Dani Box 21700 USB-C by dicodes

The Deep Black DLC variant of the Dani Box 21700 USB-C features a hardened blackened DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating on the top and bottom plates, giving a sleek dark look that is extremely hard-wearing. DLC imparts an extremely wear resistance property to stainless steel that is typically used in high end luxury watches, and changes the molecular structure of the surface to make the stainless steel even harder and more durable than when uncoated. Combined with a new media-blasting process, this final result of this "Deep Black" DLC version of the Dani Box 21700 USB-C is an extremely subdued and classy looking setup!

The Dani 21700 USB-C DLC is a slight iteration on the original Dani Box 21700 DLC, where the original design was not able to provide any in-device charging options, this new USB-C variant has a built-in USB-C charging port. Because of the DLC coating on the bottom plate, the DLC series of dicodes mods are NOT able to use the CS1 Charging Station.

The Dani Box 21700 series is an 80 Watt temperature control mod in a compact and ergonomically designed formfactor that fits perfectly in your hand. It can be used with multiple wire types which have a temperature coefficient. The menu offers four different operating modes, allowing the user to switch between variable wattage, variable wattage with heat protection (10 options), variable wattage with power boost (10 options), bypass mode (power limited by output current <20A), or the (very) accurate variable temperature mode (when using a temp-control wire type.)

The body is made from anodized aluminum, available in six different colors with a brushed stainless steel top & bottom cap. It features a top mounted OLED display and a three button operation to easily scroll through the menu with one hand for selecting the desired program. For a mod packed with so many features, it is an easy menu to navigate.

Charging

The Dani Box 21700 USB-C now has a built-in charger, while still allowing users to manually swap batteries as they are spent. Do note, that while the Dani 21700 DLC has the CS1 charger contacts on the bottom plate, electrical current is not actually able to pass through the DLC coating, and thus, the CS1 Charging Station by dicodes cannot create a ground connection to the Dani 21700 DLC. The CS1 Charging Station by dicodes will NOT work with any DLC variant of any dicodes mod, as the black DLC coating on the bottom grounding plate is electrically resistive, and thus, will prevent a proper connection for charging with the CS1.

*Warranty Terms
Two year warranty covers manufacturing faults within the electronic component of the device only. Opening the device, other than the battery cap to change the battery, will void the warranty.

Please Note:  In order for the temperature control settings to function, a coil made from NiFe30, Titanium, Ni200, Tungsten, adjustable ("other“) wire must be used, no exceptions. Coils made with Standard Nichrome or Kanthal A1 wire will only support wattage mode, so the temperature control feature cannot be utilized.
