The Dani Box 21700 DLC "Cool Coal" by dicodes is an 80 Watt temperature controlled mod that is a compact, ergonomically designed to perfectly fit in your hand, and now coated in an ultra hard-wearing and durable blackened DLC finish. DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating imparts an extremely wear resistance property to stainless steel that is typically used in high end luxury watches, and changes the molecular structure of the surface to make the stainless steel even harder and more durable than when uncoated. Combined with a new media-blasting process, this final result of this "Cool Coal" DLC version of the Dani Box 21700 is an extremely subdued and classy looking setup!

The Dani Box 21700 can be used with multiple wire types which have a temperature coefficient. The menu offers four different operating modes, allowing the user to switch between variable wattage, variable wattage with heat protection (10 options), variable wattage with power boost (10 options), bypass mode (power limited by output current <20A), or the (very) accurate variable temperature mode (when using a temp-control wire type.)

The body is made from anodized aluminum with a media-blasted stainless steel top & bottom cap that is then DLC coated. It features a top mounted OLED display and a three button operation to easily scroll through the menu with one hand for selecting the desired program. For a mod packed with so many features, it is an easy menu to navigate.

The Dani Box 21700 DLC Cool Coal is precision machined in Germany and backed by a two year warranty on the electronics*.

Charging

The Dani Box does NOT have a built-in charger, and will require the user to manually pull out and replace batteries as they are spent. Do note, that while the CS1 Charging Station by dicodes comes with the necessary adapter to charge the Dani Box 21700 in the base, the CS1 Charging Station by dicodes will NOT work with any DLC variant of any dicodes mod, as the black DLC coating on the bottom grounding plate is electrically resistive, and thus, will prevent a proper connection for charging with the CS1.

*Warranty Terms
Two year warranty covers manufacturing faults within the electronic component of the device only. Opening the device, other than the battery cap to change the battery, will void the warranty.

Please Note:  In order for the temperature control settings to function, a coil made from NiFe30, Titanium, Ni200, Tungsten, adjustable ("other“) wire must be used, no exceptions. Coils made with Standard Nichrome or Kanthal A1 wire will only support wattage mode, so the temperature control feature cannot be utilized.
